HOLISTIC SERVICES
Massage Therapy
Swedish Massage: Swedish massage is often called “traditional” massage. Therapists use long gliding strokes, kneading, rubbing, tapping and shaking motions to improve circulation and to relax and loosen muscles. A Swedish massage flushes lactic acid and other toxins from the body tissue. This is a gentle massage with a light to a medium touch. Benefits include an increased blood flow, increased muscle tone, improved oxygenation to the muscles and relaxation. For someone new to massage, a Swedish massage is a great introduction.
Deep Tissue Massage: Deep tissue massage is designed to reach the deep parts of thick muscles, specifically the individual muscle fibers. It consists of slower strokes and more pressure than Swedish massage. Its purpose is to separate muscle fibers and release toxins and deeply held patterns of tension. |

Cranial Sacral Therapy
CranioSacral Therapy is a powerful yet light-touch manual therapy. The therapist is able to palpate and often release restrictions to the craniosacral system, which encompasses the membranes and fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Imbalances are created by restrictions, many of which result from the affects of cumulative physical or emotional stress, physical injury, birth trauma, neurological conditions, and other environmental influences.
CranioSacral Therapy has a number of benefits to specific ailments. One of its most global effects comes as a result of tapping into the “roots” of the injury. This deep release of tension and restrictions taps into your innate healing abilities, allowing for extended periods of physical, emotional and mental healing. |
